This year marks the 20th anniversary of OppiKoppi, casually known as Oppi. Since May 1994, Oppi has migrated from a small bar to a massive farm in Limpopo, hosting seven stages, 150 sets of music and other forms of entertainment and 20 000 avid festival-goers.

Oppi never fails to deliver an absolutely mind-blowing line-up of both local and international artists.  It has seen the likes of incredible local acts such as Vusi Mahlasela, Springbok Nude Girls, Freshly Ground, Lark, Fokofpolisiekar, Die Antwoord and others, as well as international acts like Deftones, Billy Talent, The Used, Diplo, Eagles of Death Metal and many more.

This year is no different. Their line-up, although not complete, is still another one that should not be missed. Wolfmother (AUS), Aloe Blacc (USA), Cat Power (USA), Editors (UK), Rival Sons (USA), Sarah Blasko (USA), The Inspector Kluzo (FR), The Last Supper (CA) and Willy Mason (USA) are some of the international acts that have already been confirmed. These amazing acts will be accompanies by local acts, who are just as noteworthy. These acts include Albert Frost and Dan Patlansky, aKing, Christian Tiger School, Gangs of Ballet, Grassy Spark, Mr Cat & The Jackal, PHFat, Shortstraw and the Muffinz. These are a few out of many that will be playing.

Oppi will be running from 7 August 2014 – 9 August 2014. Tickets are R700 and are still available, so do not run around screaming and then fall into a ball and cry for 11 hours. Tickets can be bought from their Facebook Page, OppiKoppi Festival or check out their Official Website for more information.
