This Foreign Planet

Do plants matter to you? Do you pass simple branches and leaves, struck by awe and appreciation?
No. ‘Flowers’. Now that’s a word everybody likes to hear. But other than that, it doesn’t really cross anybody’s mind to stop where they are and have a look. Furthermore, such objects (at first) do not necessarily instill awe in one. Archetype sent the pseudo hominids from Channel Purple out on an observation mission. Archetype knew that their fresh eyes/alien viewing devices would allow for interesting images, granted that they do not originate from out earth.

Below is their observation journal:

THIS FOREIGN PLANET:
48 HOURS WE HAVE SPENT ON THIS PLANET.

For 2 whole earth days we have roamed around lost and confused.
Large ‘bushes’ of this Earth leap at us,
Like swarms of tiny meteors.
We observe these things called ‘flowers’ and ‘stalks’ and even ‘leaves’ of green grandeur.
Things that don’t exist on our own ‘secret’ earth.
And we inspect each and every planty organism
With raw wonder and love

Why is mars so desolate?
Where are our plants?

Why is earth letting such things die a horrible death?
When they know the answer to all their troubles is simply love and care.
48 hours we have spent on this foreign planet.
And a single hour more will make us sick.

We hope you liked our journal.
Stick around to look at pretty flowers and stuff
